Music, Cheese and Wine

Tonight we went to a wine tasting and music night at Black Ankle Vineyards in Mt Airy, Maryland.

I preferred the white and rose to the red that we tasted and we ended up getting a bottle (or two) of that to drink along with some very good Maryland cheeses, a cheddar from the Eastern Shore and a sheep cheese and then a goat cheese in the style of Brie, that I reckon needed to fester a while longer. The baguette and Tuscan herb seasoned olive oil were delicious, outdone only by the exquisite dark chocolate truffle that we had for dessert.

The music? Didn't hear much of it as we could only get a table inside and the guitarist was outside :(

Next time we will be prepared, bringing our own table and chairs, blankets, pate and fruits to accompany their white wine and cheese and baguette!

A good night was had by all!
