Brown Eyed Girl

This is Bess our daughter's dog therefore our grand-dog. Destined for fame in the sheepdog world, her career was sadly curtailed by early deafness, which has steadily worsened.
Of no use to the farmer, she spent months mostly in a barn alone and unloved, until one day our daughter and her then boyfriend now husband, spotted her out being walked by the farmer's daughter.
'What a lovely dog ' they said.
'Do you want her? ' she said
'Well we could try her out for a couple of weeks' they said , doubtfully, having never owned a dog before.
That was a few years ago and they have owned her ever since and love her to bits.
She is the most lovely well behaved and placid dog you could wish to meet. Just as well as we shall be looking after her in the summer hols for a few weeks!
