Dis(re)membered

Defunct Mothers Day rose with defunct maps. (SOOC, cropped)

This copy of the Readers Digest Wide World Atlas is as dead as the rose. Copyright 1979, with maps of Hong Kong (British), Sudan (undivided), and the Soviet Union.
I once tried to sell the book to Powell's, and they didn't want it.
Today, the map and the rose depart my dwelling.
Maybe the rose would have lasted a few days longer if I hadn't forgotten to change the (e-coli-infected) water. (Test results for the Boil Water Alert expected within the hour.)
