Mostly Six Five Oh

Some days one just isn't in the mood for photographs, today was that day for me. The light was very hazy and it was slightly muggy and overcast. Had an enjoyable day mooching around town; junk shops and antique stores in Old Town; the Lan Su Chinese Garden which had a wonderful exhibit of peonies, the range in fragrances from bloom to bloom was really interesting; cold barley tea and pistachio tart at a Japanese place we like to go to near the Portland Art Museum; a stroll around the sculptures at the Portland Art Museum; looked at a couple of design stores and then stopped in at a shop selling pet accoutrements so I could say hello to the shop cat sunbathing in the window.

This picture is of the teahouse at the Lan Su Chinese Garden, as it was a warm day all of the windows were open and I liked the effect here of the ornately framed panes of glass all open at once. It's Memorial Day Weekend here so pretty much everywhere we went today was packed.
