Pancake farewell

A girl who was a stranger two months ago has now become a good friend. She's over from Germany as a nanny and is leaving today. So this was her farewell pancake breakfast at my place.

I tried a fancy new cinnamon swirl pancake recipe and they went down a treat!!!

Then had a long catch up with a course mate from my undergraduate degree who is up for the weekend and we had a good long natter.

Then daddy came up and took me for a cuppa in a lovely Zimbabwean cafe that's just opened along the street... Called the Baobab Bakery. Loved it. And loved being with him.

Had a good chat with Lynsey too.... Certainly the day for catching up with people and rain scrummie food!!!
