Jaywalkers!!

With attitude!!!

Heading home from Muscat we had just crossed the border when we ran into a big big sand storm as the rocky terrain gave way to the majesty of the sand dunes! They were changing positionsand being blown across the road and making driving a wee bit hazardous.......and they weren't the only moving objects we encountered on our journey!

Further on, when the winds had dropped and the sand had settled.....we came across these renegades!!!

Fortunately there was not a lot of traffic but the vehicles that were on the road were travelling extremely fast. We didn't really want to see any of this band of about ten youngsters come to grief.....and thankfully, none of them did. Fortunately they decided not to try and cross the central reservation but returned to the sand from whence they came!

The road is fenced all the way along so how they got onto the road is a mystery! except that sometimes during a sandstorm...the shifting sands partially cover the fences and consequently make it easier for 'long legs' to get over!

Hope they arrived home safely....like us. They would be very hard to see in the dark!
