Following on from yesterday's sport based theme, today I am thinking about cycling.

Bikes are such a big part of my daily life. Such a simple machine but so liberating. There is something nice about arriving somewhere under your own steam. No money spent on petrol, insurance and if you get the right bike, very little spent on maintenance. I love that when I ride to work, the entirety of my wages come directly to me. No expenditure other than the cost of bananas to fuel my journey.

“Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.”
