Hynish.

Once we were actually up and dressed the first order of business was food. So the morning was spent cycling to the Co-op and getting food. This wasn't quite the ordeal it sounds because it allowed us to see more of the island.

In the afternoon we cycled down to Hynish where the base Stevenson set up to serve his lighthouse still exists. Though it now seems to be more of a museum, outdoor centre, visitors centre and farm.

The weather was pretty terrible. Squalling rain and close cloud cover, so I didn't take many photos. This gateway into a field caught my eye. The only thing in the field was an old transit van which had collapsed like a cardboard box into a flat pile.
