Woodwick

My turn to arrange the garden club outing so I chose a wonderfully derelict and overgrown one, which has just about the only river in Orkney running along side it. It's the perfect time of year to visit as all the bluebells are in flower too.

Of the initial 14 who booked, only 6 folk turned up because of the weather, but during the afternoon the sun did put in an appearance and it was a really lovely visit, topped off with a cream tea with dainty sandwiches, scones, cream and jam and rhubarb cake!

On the way home we did a bit of a detour and stopped off at a nursery and bought a car full of plants too. As you do . . . !
