Fry-day

Scary. The China Palace restaurant in Leith, under our flat, had a kitchen fire today. Happily all the staff, and our neighbours, are OK. We're back in the flat now but the fire inspectors are still downstairs in the restaurant kitchen inspecting the damage and discerning the cause.

The flats stink of smoke, so it's windows open and hoodies on. The fire crew are great, and we owe big thanks to a chap called Aaron in a nearby office who first spotted the fire and flagged down the police, and our neighbour down the street, Shona, who's been an angel.

Fires are so frightening. Stay vigilant, folks.
