A moment of calm ...

... at the end of a weekend of fairly hectic activity - a party, a thunderstorm, a visit en famille to the National Museum, lunch en masse, staying with friends - I found myself with a few moments in the sunshine on Newhaven Harbour. I fear that my years away from the city have turned me into a bit of a bumpkin: I find the crowds into which scurrying grandchildren can vanish far more stressful than I could ever have imagined.

A good weekend, however - and great to see all my family more or less at the same time!
