Britni and I went on a trip to Brooklyn today just for the fun of it/to see what we could see. It was really really cold and we got lost for about an hour, but we eventually made it to a jazz bar in Park Slope where 5 high-school aged kids with jazz in their blood (the drummer and trumpet player were Arturo O'Farrill's kids) played some standards for us. Literally, we were the only customers in the bar, besides the kids' parents.. but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

From there we made our way up to Williamsburg and hipstered it up for a while. Britni got a nice bag at a quasi-flea market called "artists and fleas." We then attempted to find some art galleries but eventually gave up and went to a nice beer bar called Mugs Ale House. Then we went home.

A pretty good, if freezing, day.
