What did I see today...?

Green Crag

Lakes day two with Dad and it was a bit more arduous, if only because of the blazing sun (and sunburn, despite having screen on all day!) making climbing quite hot and sweaty work. The was a good breeze on some parts of the climb up the side of Seat though, and when we got to Scarth Gap we were quite buffetted - and on the way up the side of Haystacks as well. This is probably our favourite walk but it was the first time in a while and we both felt the effort - also the intricacies of scrambling with walking poles (though I stowed mine early on).

After lunch on top of Haystacks, with its pretty good views down into the Buttermere valley, we moved to my favourite part which is the loop back down over the top and in front of Green Crag and gives you the view up the Buttermere valley that is today's Blip.

Meanwhile, up the other end of the valley...
