1947 Buick Special . . . Mint green

Went to another car show this afternoon at the local parking lot at Costco (which was closed for the holiday)! This was only one of the great cars there - highlights:
a Bugatti (can it be real?); a silver Mustang with the license plate "8MPG" - and he's proud of that fact? ; a glorified jeep looking like an ambulance recently purchased from Baja, CA with speedometer in km/h, written over in white with mph numbers (6 - 62) now assigned a commercial vehicle license number, used now for surfing (nothing commercial); a few '55 Chevy Bel Aires (the blue one I had blipped earlier for sale in Kalama Valley, no for sale sign showing now); two Willys side by side, one with a flaming paintjob; a 1932 Ford with an engraved gas tank cap and rumble seat; and vanity license plates "DROOL", "UNEEK", "HOT 37", "31 DLX", "OLDAZE", "GRUMP", "32-DEUS". The red Hilo Sampan I blipped earlier was there as well, nice guy answering questions seated inside. Also saw the bright yellow 32 Ford seen in Waiamanalo with its owner Sonny.
It was a great walkabout with 1960s and 70s music being played (too loud!) for just a couple of hours - great fun, interesting cars in (and out of) the show. A second group of newer cars congregated right next door, hoods raised. Everyone brought their best car to showoff.
This being Memorial Day, time was also spent at cemeteries in remembrance of those in service and fallen in the line of duty, and all those who have come before us. Rest in peace.
