Glasgow School of Art says 'thank you'

This morning I came into Glasgow on the train. Outside Glasgow Central Hotel there is a bronze sculpture by Kenny Hunter (one of Scotland's foremost sculptors and graduate of the Glasgow School of Art), which is a tribute to all firefighters past and present who have served in Strathclyde Fire & Rescue.

Following the local fire service's heroic efforts to save the Mackintosh Building from fire on Friday, this sign saying simply "thank you" has been hung around the statue's neck in an instantly recognisable Charles Rennie Mackintosh typeface.
