Happski Birthday Danielle

Daughter Danielle is 15 today, though in her head she's been much older than this for years(!). Since she's booked on a school skiing trip next year we thought it worth combining her first ever ski lesson with a birthday treat - what could possibly go wrong??

We went to the Tamworth Snowdome with one of her elder brothers Andy - who likes a bit of snowboarding - and his girlfriend Beth who is very proficient on skis having been a chalet maid in the French Alps. The good news is that Danielle loves skiing and did really well.

Afterwards we went for a hearty lunch at a local pub and, apart from some atrocious weather on the motorway during the 2-hour return journey, nothing went wrong. Oops, I've jinxed it, she's just gone with her Mum and eldest brother Matt's girlfriend Steph to get her belly pierced! Fingers crossed that nothing does go wrong as we're planning to go out again tonight for a meal with her grandparents.
