Magical

Magical, to see the unexpected when out on a walk this afternoon; a Tawny Owl, having a quiet moment hidden in the branches of a tree!

He was as safe as houses and unless you'd been really searching again and again you would never have found him. Hidden amongst the rustling leaves it was amazing. Popping out at you just like that I just felt the pulse pick up as it was a total surprise.

In this case a double whammy of deliciousness in that it had a tiny baby hidden on the accompanying branch! This was a tad difficult I have to add as it was secreted in the branches amongst the foliage, which was swaying in the wind.
