curiosity and the cat

Poor wee Loki isn't allowed outside - yet not until his second set of injections take and he is neutered in a few weeks - tough when that is all he wants to do! He comes out with us into the garden but ends up legging it down the road, under cars and into neighbours gardens - that is when he has tired of tormenting our free range guinea pigs! Plus he proves himself a nightmare to track down and find again. So he has resigned to wistfully staring at the outside through the window, following the birds as they dart across the sky and catching the odd stray fly!

Strange dynamic in our house tonight - with only the eldest child home. In 'celebration' we ate very spicy food and had a proper conversation at the dinner table. I believe that she will even put herself to bed WITHOUT a story and a reminder to brush her teeth! Wonders indeed!
