pseudo-daisy...

...standing all alone

over the ridge out back - among the cactus - pretending - for it's not a true daisy - i'm not sure what it is - some kind of a hybrid of one perhaps - morphed by seeds - dropped by the birds over time? but there it was - just 1 lone flower - i liked it - standing alone - simple - under the glare of the sun - as if it had something to prove - i felt like shouting "you go, flower - you go" - because don't we all need a cheerleader sometimes? when the going gets rough - when we feel alone - we simply need to stand strong - like this little flower is - in the midst of it all - knowing it will be okay - yup, it will
