Seal Watching . . .

Spent the morning in the shop with four coach loads of visitors from the cruise liner that had called into Kirkwall. Busy but fun, I always enjoy the shop when there are lots of folk about.

In the afternoon Ollie and I took Harebrain around some of our favourite haunts, along the cliff path and down on the shore, we explored the ruined house and went hunting for shells.

As we turned to head back to the car we spotted the seals, totally laid back, relaxing and not bothered by a couple of blippers with cameras pointed at them! Harebrain had been looking for an oyster catcher to tick off her bird list, but once she'd seen the seals the poor birds counted for nothing!

A really lovely afternoon and evening, super company and a tasty meal too! We shall miss our visitors . . .
