Old ferns into new pots

This afternoon I potted up two South African tree ferns, Blechnum tabulare. These are the two at the front. One was so curved that I wanted to try to sit it up a little straighter and the other, well it just wanted a slightly bigger pot. These lovely tree ferns come from Table Mountain and I really don't think I would risk them outside, even here - much too expensive to lose!

The tree fern at the back is the 'common' Dicksonia antarctica, of which we have many growing outside. This one has been used in a garden show, but is now getting too big so should really go out!
