Beautiful hot summers day here today. Had a few extra blondie highlights put in at the hairdressers in the hope of keeping this summer feeling going a little longer!
Put the house straight for our English VIP teen guests. Both Hubs and I have nieces the same age and they've been firm friends since they were bridesmaids at our wedding 6 years ago. They are on an adventure together to stay with us in Ireland for a few days. At 13/14 yrs they are allowed to travel without an adult - so there has been much (mock )squealing at thought of getting lost in airports, alarms going off and luggage going to Hong Kong instead etc.
They have lots of plans and plenty of it involves bringing their onesies, eating lots of chocolate and watching films, baking and singing a few songs, strumming the guitar and staying up late. I'm going to put out the hiking boots, the map and a list of historical monuments that are a must to see in Co Tipperary.... they just might do it for us???? Nahhhh, not likely!
