Doha Days

A busy week continues with more meetings in high rise office blocks in downtown Doha. Here you can see an "exterminated " roundabout - now a crossroads. Doha is on a small peninsular at nodal crossroads in global aviation routes. Tomorrow we take one of those routes for a short flight to the east.

This evening I have been entertaining colleagues from the UK, in the Souk, who take up permanent senior roles in our school from next term. Their arrival is positive proof that my project here really is drawing to a close at the end of next month.

With temperatures today over 48 degrees I listened to a radio commercial for a well known Dutch airline boasting free stopovers in Amsterdam and a chance to escape the heat. It was very tempting!
