Bisque Load

in the gas kiln.
Now people can glaze these items for the high (Cone 10) firing.
Some of the more noticeable pieces have used colored slip or underglaze to achieve this vibrance.
Most of the time clear glaze is all that needs to be added to these augmented pieces for high firing. Underglaze is used to give a paler glaze (like lavender, green or blue) an added color layer to achieve a deeper intensity that double dipping the pale glaze does not achieve.
Please notice that when you bisque, pieces may be double (and even triple) stacked one inside the other without concern they will fuse together since there is no glaze used.
