A Wave On The Ocean

We stayed on at a resort on the west coast of Fuerteventura, a few minutes walk from the beach.
There's a combination of beaches and paths that lead around the coast for about as far as you can manage to walk. (I found that if you're wearing flip flops, that's probably about three miles before it gets painful.)
The water is more shades of blue than I had ever imagined existed.
There is dark - almost black - volcanic - rock that breaks up some of the beaches and that, coupled with the way the water seems to dissolve into the sky at the horizon, is why it can feel like you're at the end of the world.
