Journey to Tofino

This morning I got up bright and early (not easy after my night out), to start my Island Explorer tour with Moose Travel.

I met up with the group at half 8 and we headed straight to the BC Ferries terminal. That is also about the time that the rain started, and it didn't stop all day!

Once we'd made it to Vancouver Island, we did a couple of damp stops to see the Little Qualicum River and Sproat Lake. Then we headed straight to Tofino, where we had one final stop at the Tofino Brewery to have a few tasters :)

The hostel is in a beautiful location, right on the bay, with a jetty going straight out into the sea. Although the rain clouds blocked out most of the view of the mountains/Islands opposite, we were able to spot some otters and eagles while eating our home cooked dinner.
After dinner some of us decided to brave the torrential rain (what were we thinking?) and walk to the pub. Luckily there was a huge fire to dry us off once we got there!
