Whinhill PS - Take a Bow!

You may remember we Blipped earlier this year about Absent Voices' artists, Anne Mckay and Yvonne Lyon, working with pupils at Whinhill Primary School in Greenock.
From pupils, to teachers to artists, everyone revelled in the experience of exploring the industrial heritage on their doorstep.
The children were all born after the demise of the sugar industry so this is all in danger of being lost in the mists of time.
Annie and Yvonne took time out on Monday to show the pupils and staff at Whinhill the completed mural, with its fresh coat of varnish.
Annie said: "We had a wonderful last day with the super Whinhill staff and pupils. They were so excited to see their mural completed.
"What a super experience to work with them all.
"A big thank you to Miss Murray for her enthusiasm and help. Fab teacher! Thank you to all the staff and pupils who took part. Also, big thank you Yvonne Lyon. It was really great being part of the Vonnie and Annie Experience."
The Big Reveal was also filmed by our resident Absent Voices filmmaker, Robert Pollock.
Look forward to seeing his film of a year documenting this inspiring project.
