Lindisfarne. Day 2. Sandham Bay

Today we took all the kids for a three hour walk through the dunes to Sandham Bay. There was paddling in the sea, sandcastles and dune jumping. In the most beautiful, idillic location. I feel so very lucky to have grown up coming here and I hope that I am making equally wonderful memories for my children. I think I am, they adore it here. But then, who wouldn't.

And now my Grandad has come to visit. He lived here as a child. This Island truly is ingrained in my family's heritage.
