The Ship of the Fens from 5 miles away

This is not the best photograph of Ely Cathedral but I took it to use the zoom at it's maximum.here the red rectangle shows the area when viewed at the normal 'point and shoot'. It was a dull afternoon but had that strange clarity you get just before or after rain. I could see the cathedral with my naked eye but obviously not the detail seen with the zoom. I did not crop the zoomed image but did convert it to B&W and increase the contrast. I will be in Ely tomorrow or Saturday so may well take a better monochrome from a hundred yards not 5 miles!
