LITTLE THIEF

We were somewhat successful protecting the bird feeders from the regular squirrels, but this little red squirrel can overcome nearly every barrier. Just because he’s so tiny (full grown, he’s hardly bigger than a chipmunk), and so agile, he can leap from tree to feeder and feast away whenever he wants. The sunflower seeds disappear quickly, but I don’t mind too much – probably because he’s such a cutie! He seems to be shedding his winter coat since his fur looks a bit shaggy on his hind end.
