Elder

Coming to a hedgerow near you the humble european elder.

You can pick the flowers now to make a cordial or make where you find them and then come back in the autumn to make Elderberry Wine.

Not always easy to spot as it hates any form of hedgerow maintenance. Usually spotted in ancient hedgerows which have been allowed to 'go wild'. Not to be confused with pyracantha rogersiana.
