New Bike

Aidan has been telling us that he needs a new "pedal" bike for a while now - saying that he's a big boy and that his glide bike is too small. So, last weekend, we noticed that this one was half price on Halfords, and decided to order it for him. It informed us that we could pick it up today, so all week, we've been telling Aidan that, if he's good, he'll get his new bike today. As you might expect, every day he's been asking if it was the day he was getting his bike.

He was careful to be extra good in the car journey to Halfords in the event that we changed our minds about getting it for him (despite Logan trying his hardest to wind him up). When we got to Halfords, he went round all the kids bikes asking if each one was his one (the guy had to collect this from out back). When he finally got it, he had a quick go on it just as we got out of the shop and we promised him a bigger go once we got hime. I think all the excitement got to him, as he fell asleep in the car on the way home, and, despite waking up when we arrived home, he didn't ask to go out on it.
