Naebody wants these trams

After 11 years the Edinburgh Trams are finally operational to the public and the investment in the tram infrastructure of about £1bn pounds starts getting paid off over the next 30 years. It's unbelievable to think that it cost this much when our rotund leader of the Scottish Parliament believes that you can set up the entire infrastructure of the nation in an independent Scotland for a fifth of this figure - someone has their figures wrong!

Anyway, the opponents of the trams (of which I am most definitely not one) argued that they were a waste of money and that nobody wants to use them. As you can see here that is clearly not the case and if anything it looks like there needs to be more trams running in the city to cope with the demand. Now which stupid people would have tried to stop the trams being delivered when there was almost 70% of the cost had already been spent?
