Poppy

Well I decided to forego the 5am rush for the first Edinburgh tram of this century, staying in my kip was much more appealing. And I've not been up town today so no tram blip from me just yet. S has stepped up though.

Instead I spent all afternoon at the allotment, mowing, strimming, weeding, hoeing, pruning and generally chilling out in the sunshine. I cut another huge bag of spinach as well; I tell you, whoever named it perpetual spinach certainly new what they were on about! It's the plant that keeps on giving!
The plot behind us has a great display of flowers just now. The poppies are huge, about the size of a saucer, and their colour is stunning; hope I've captured it, it's always hard to tell looking at a wee screen!
