last day of may

it's been an odd day with a stressy start.

beth was exhausted so we left her behind while we went off to get some stuff to make a new screen for the cinéshed for beefy's birthday. he's getting a new turntable, but it won't be here on time, so we're chucking in the new screen because we're nice like that...and he'd also had a stressy day going down to edinburgh to see broken uncle ralph.

anyway, he seems very pleased with it, and it does look ace compared with the old one...the credits don't undulate up the screen anymore, and it's mould-free!

all five of us watched a few IT crowds, then the secret life of walter mitty which the kids loved. the iceland bits made us want to go back...and beefy announced that if we ever got divorced he was moving to iceland permanently. nice eh? I suggested he'd be more like the big fat drunk guy from greenland if we ever split up.

which went down well.

looking forward to our road trip to inverness for their national collective launch tomorrow...beefy and john are playing and it's going to be goooood.
