Running for Shelter

Back in New York City for a couple of days because we have a family wedding to attend tomorrow. I attempted a little more stealth photography today when I got caught in a sudden rain shower. I sheltered myself under a building awning, and entertained myself by snapping shots of others also caught in the shower. Today's blip is one of those shots.

The most significant thing that happened today was that I moved the dial from Aperture Priority to Manual. Yay! It was as if a light bulb went off and I realized how much more control could be achieved. While I am sure I will be fumbling around for quite a while and retaking lots of shots, this felt like a huge step.
