First day of Winter

It's hard to believe that we are 6 months into the year, and that today is the first day of winter. We woke up to fog, which doesn't disappear until around lunch time. It was nice this afternoon to be able to get out into the sun, and enjoy a bit of warmth on our backs.

This morning we tagged and drenched our rising 2 year old heifers. Tomorrow it's the main herd's turn - a big job which will take most of the day.

This photo is of T - sitting on the boards at the cattle yards, waiting for the cows to arrive for drenching. It is good having 2 healthy young lads to help us on the farm - it certainly makes the load a bit lighter and means we can get through our job a lot quicker.
