Cwm Hedd Lakes.

On the outskirts of Newport and less than 5 minutes from junction 28 of the M4, you will find a very warm welcome at Cwm Hedd Lakes. Cwm Hedd means ‘peaceful valley’, and many have found the seven acre lake and lodge a haven from the hustle and bustle of life. If you enjoy fly fishing, or are looking for a quiet place to bring your caravan or tent, or if you just want to get out in the countryside to enjoy the scenery and wildlife, then visit Cwm Hedd for some time out.

Our cosy lodge with its wood burning stove is open to all. Walkers trying out the Graig Diamond Jubilee path route opened by Derek Brockway in 2013 will be pleased to know that the route passes directly in front of the lodge, so call in for a cuppa or a bite to eat.

Just 10 minutes from Newport and 20 minutes from Cardiff by car, Cwm Hedd is close to local amenities and attractions. Regular bus services are less than a mile from the farm, while two railway stations (Afon village and Newport) are less than four miles away, so if you want to explore the area all you need is within easy reach.
