Splash On Sunday

The view from the boogie board at Belhaven Sands this afternoon. After toiling at the allotment I was glad to plunge in the sea for a refreshing splash. Not much time though, this one taken at 4.40pm and the London train due at 5.51pm - quick! The beach bike got me home in time to bring in the washing from the line, change, throw things in bags and cycle the Brompton to the station (with time to pick up a bottle of wine of course!).

Giro d'Italia has ended with Nairo Quintana winning convincingly. The Monte Zoncolan stage yesterday was unbelievable, 22% gradients and massive crowds hassling the riders all the way up. Quintana left nothing to chance and held his lead. Only 24 years old, he looks like a great champion for years to come.

I watched that this morning, then after a bit of housework it was the allotment, the sea and now the train. Great day!
