weather worn hope...

...from a daisy

at this time of year - we usually get hammered - with afternoon storms - and not your ordinary - light storms in passing - i'm talking - all out - torrential downpours - with thunder - lightening - hail - lots of wind - the whole works - the kind which are truly damaging to anything in the storms path - the ones which can turn your umbrella inside out - they can be very disheartening - especially if people have just begun to put out their summer flowers - only to find them getting pelted with the damaging effects of natures fury - but we all know - it's just how it is - fortunately, it only lasts a small time in the grand scheme of things - then they pass

on the bright side - in their wake are left - rich green grass - thick bushes - hearty trees and well nourished (sometimes overly so) wetlands - i found - after our last storm - this somewhat beaten down daisy - how it's managed to survive - several storms now - is beyond me - but its tenacity gives me hope - and since it's sunday - what better way to begin the week - than with a picture of hope - in the form of a daisy - now doesn't that just make for...

a

happy day.....
