ORIENTAL IRIS

I think these Oriental Iris are beautiful, but try as I might, I just can’t seem to capture their beauty in a photo. I’m always happy to see my small patch of them bloom every spring. Love the rich color, the velvet texture and the deep veining on the petals.

We worked in the yard all weekend, distributing woodchips, planting and mowing - consequently all the birds and squirrels, etc. stayed away, so I'm having to blip flowers instead. I couldn't even find an insect to blip!
