A Day Off

And taking advantage of it by grabbing a small crowd (my brother and his family) and going up yet another mountain. This time a bit more inland up Otanewainuku which is a great bushwalk up to the summit with almost 360 view. The water in the background is Tauranga harbour with Mauao (Mt Maunganui) hidden behind the hill on the right.
The view is getting clearer and clearer, down to White Island and Eastcape and behind us we saw a snow covered Mt Ruapehu.
Fabulous way to spend an afternoon catching up with family :)
