A Leap In The Dark

I warned you these banners in the High Street might be used as emergency blips!

Having only discovered that the batteries had gone in the compact camera once I was on the golf course, I had no blip by late afternoon so this banner, representing the outdoor pool, against a threatening sky came to the rescue.

Yesterday I finished reading "The Man Who forgot His Wife" by John O'Farrell, in which the central character suffers total amnesia and finds himself on a tube train with no memory of who he is or his former life. As well as being very funny, it raises interesting questions about the subjectivity and reliability of memory.
