What struck my fancy

Coal barn at Thornham

. . . is a village on the coast of north west Norfolk and the coal barn pictured here is a magnet for photographers, especially atmospheric with the dark heavy skies at dusk.

The coal barn was erected to store stout brought up from London, and local grain and produce. Coal storage was a more recent use. Now it is to be sold and rumour has it someone will open a gallery. At very high tides the building is marooned.

It seemed a natural mono image.
