Day9- Lewis-Callanish

We finally had our wine last night sitting on rocks overlooking Loch Stacanais, but after that fine end to the day, we found the idiosyncratic campsite, with hens running feral and inconsiderate about fouling, and the somewhat primitive wash room facilities in the black house, made for an uncomfortable overnight stay in the tent.

With little sleep between both of us, we were up at 5am as the sun rose over the hills behind. We packed the tent and headed for Uig in Lewis, but diverted on the way to see the stones of Callanish.

9am was far too early for other sightseers so we had the stones to ourselves. It was a wonderful sight with an interesting sky behind. Breakfast was in the visitor centre with WiFi!Onwards now to Bhaltos and finding a nice campsite.
