Journal Time

The last few days have been quite busy, with my visit to Norfolk over the weekend and then catching up on the home and garden front. So it's good to have time to sit outside and journal for a while, with a mug of tea.

I bought the mug in Ulverston, while I was on a retreat at Swarthmore Hall. The 'lighthouse' pictured on it is in fact a monument to Sir John Barrow, which sits very prominently on a hill outside the town. He was a local lad who rose to high position in public life, becoming Second Secretary to the Admiralty as well as being a fellow of the Royal Society and the Royal Geographical Society.
