Looking South

A different perspective on things

This was my last day out as a carer: a boat trip along the Avon and the Stour, followed by a cream tea. All free, thanks to Social Services. The ponies on Stanpit Marsh come down to the water's edge to drink at the point where salt water gives way to fresh river water.

My mother will be staying in the care home where she's convalescing as she's deteriorated a bit too much for me to cope any more. So, from Monday it's goodbye carer and hello jobseeker.
