D-Day

My old dad got this personal letter from Dwight Eisenhower on the eve of D-Day in 1944.
I particularly like the line “Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Al-mighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.”
It somehow has a ring of hubris about it although I am assured that if you are victorious then there can be no suggestion of that being the case.
