Slate quarries

Another gorgeous day. Decided to head down to Seil and Easdale Islands where the history of slate mining has created these huge clear pools in the old quarries-like bites have been taken out all round the edges if each island. Really loved exploring them, especially Easdale with its cluster of little identical cottages and strong community feel. Remnants of the slate industry everywhere, gorgeous sunshine, scones, squat lobster and all things lovely.
Home and tried out Airds hotel for dinner. Very good, somewhat upmarket, poor wifi!! Home very relaxed and well fed!
