The Forest Cuckoo

This little bee was feeding on the catmint. It seemed to be rather cold and slow ,which was good for photographing.
The cuckoo bees are parasitic on the bumblebees, killing the queen and then using her workers to rear it's own eggs. A sort of natural slavery.
They do not even bother to collect pollen for the nest, so if you see a bee with pollen sacks it is not a cuckoo.
This one is a male, he has a red tail, and does no work but just feeds himself and looks for girls....
